About Us
The Research Institute for Electrical Machines (ICPE-ME) is
a new and innovative institution having private character.
It was established in 1992 with the main aim to enhance and
adapt the scientific research in the specific area according
to the present Romanian market economy. Nevertheless ICPE-ME
has a long technical tradition as it is based on a former Electrical
Machines Division of the Research Institute for Electrical
Engineering (ICPE), an institution with more than 50 years
of existence.
